MY FAVOURITE ALBUMS OF 2013

This year is almost over and I wanted to share with you the top 10 albums of 2013 in my opinion.

I did write that last part in bold letters because we all have a different music taste and I'm sure you've all been listening to your favourite artists. This is not anything "official", it's just my humble opinion and taste. I believe as music goes we should all celebrate it as a whole and not judge anyone by his/her taste. Music should unite us, not separate us.

Feel free to share your own favourite albums in the comments, I would love to know what you guys enjoyed this year!

This list is in no particular order and it has the biggest mix of artists around.

- JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE : THE 20/20 EXPERIENCE

Why: It's safe to say that we all missed him in the music scene and I honestly didn't see him coming back since he expressed more times how much he enjoyed acting over music the past few years.
This album though was great, he didn't let down and it didn't feel rushed. The record has some very catchy songs that are very much in JT's style. Additionally he definitely didn't lose his charm and didn't even age a little! What's up with that?!

Song: Mirrors

- IAMX : THE UNIFIED FIELD

Why: I have been a supporter of IAMX for quite a while now and this album has exceeded my expectations. The mix of sounds, the lyrics, the art of Mr. X is something to definitely check out. It's some kind of mixture between indie electric and goth, quite hard to describe.  It's unlucky that his tour got cancelled halfway through it because of health reasons but 2014 will be a great year once he gets back on his feet. This album is for all of us looking for new artists with a different sound.

Song: I Come With Knives

- AVENGED SEVENFOLD : HAIL TO THE KING

Why: After the release of "Nightmare" I did ask myself how good would have been their next album but Avenged Sevenfold really worked hard and came up with some awesome tracks. This album I would say is not "the one" yet, but they're still growing as rock artists and selling out arenas (plus have a headlining festival next year). They are definitely in the group of bands that really want to be taken seriously and become legends. The songs in the album develop well from start to finish and they show off some great riffs and solos.

Song: This Means War

- LADY GAGA : ARTPOP

Why: Fun, fresh and positive. This album is all you need if you're having a party or you need a little boost of happiness in the morning. I love the meaning behind this and the hard work Gaga has been putting to ensure we spread positivity and love. From the artwork to the outfits I think this era will be unforgettable.

Song: Gypsy

- BRING ME THE HORIZON : SEMPITERNAL

Why: Damn, this album made me completely change my mind on this band. I always thought they seem to be young guys having fun but not REALLY having that much talent. I didn't take them seriously as artists but with this album it's like they stepped up and from sound to lyrics they just blew my mind.

Song: Shadow Moses

- A DAY TO REMEMBER : COMMON COURTESY

Why: Mix from head-bangin songs to slow songs you have it all. A Day To Remember became one of my favourite bands of all time very quickly. They're talented and very nice people as well. This record definitely slays and I am sure you will find soon enough that pressing the "replay" button is all you want to do when you play their record.

Song: Right Back At It Again

- 30 SECONDS TO MARS : LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS

Why: After announcing they'll be taking a possible "big" break for a while from the music scene because they needed a holiday, they actually came back pretty quickly with an album that really opened up on their story. I definitely think this record was made for all of us that are big dreamers.

Song: City Of Angels

- ROB ZOMBIE : VENOMOUS RAT REGENERATION VENDOR

Why: I was a little sceptical when I decided to give this album a chance, simply because I didn't really like much the past record HOWEVER I was pleasantly surprised.  This time I am glad I gave it a listen. It's a very nice mixture of old school Zombie with a new vibe too.

Song: Rock and Roll (in a black hole)

- FALL OUT BOY : SAVE ROCK AND ROLL

Why: There are no words to describe how excited I was when they announced their reunion and how heartbroken I was when I couldn't get tickets to see them in London but hey, THEY'RE BACK. Catchy songs+good vibes =  this album sinks into your bones and you become addicted as it was a drug. I never found it easier to remember lyrics.

Song: My Songs Know What You Did in The Dark (light em up)

- LORDE : PURE HEROIN

Why: I'm not sure if it's the grungy old school voice or the detachment from over produced sounds or the fact that she's so young yet has an element of "vintage" in herself...she kicks ass. Love her voice, love her style. I expect great things from this girl and I recommend to check her out to end your year in a fresh note.

Song: Royals
