Why are we always changing names when the product is essentially the same?!
Anyway, I was extremely excited. I did hear about them through some YouTubers and being a huge fan or natural-looking lipsticks I just couldn't wait.
Don't get too excited if you saw the shades they have in the states, over here in UK we only have five!
I decided to pick only two because I didn't really need 5 new lipsticks (and let's face it, I couldn't afford to either). I went for the shades "in the middle" so they're not too light nor too dark.
The complete collection - with names - is:
- Sultry Sand
- Tantalising Taupe
- Honey Beige
- Coffee Craze
- Naked Brown
I got Tantalising Taupe and Honey Beige.
Tantalising Taupe is more of a very neutral pink that I believe would go well on everyone.
It's on the warm side, not cold.
Naked Beige is more on the peachy/brown/sand look and I would imagine someone like the Kardashians would rock it. It could be a little too brown if you're very pale.
From the left: Tantalising Taupe / Naked Beige.
The last 3 shades are Maybelline Velvet Beige/ Rimmel Notting Hill Nude and Rimmel Colour Rush Balm in Drive Me Nude so you could all compare the shades.
As you can see, there are no striking similarities except for Tantalising Taupe vs Drive Me Nude which look a little like each other.
Price - This new line of lipsticks costs £6.99
Feature - It's very moisturising
Longevity - It doesn't claim to be long lasting so after eating you will need to re-apply it
Smell - Vanilla/ Sweet. Typical from all Maybelline lipsticks
All in all I love the Stripped Nudes and I believe every woman will find the perfect shade for her undertone. They're quite affordable and a definite good extra to add to your makeup stash.
Will you be buying them? Have you tried them?
