Perfect beach body, here I come! (+ wishlist ft awesome workout tops)

Hello lovelies!

It's a new day today and I thought I would update you all on something rather exciting.
This year, as some of you might know, I decided to get more fit. About a week ago I started
working out with Jillian Michaels - by that, I mean her DVD "30 Day Shred", not with the actual trainer - I wish!

20 minutes everyday are very easy to fit into any schedule and you can do it in the comfort of your
own home instead of going to the gym and paying a fortune.
I bought a mat and the dvd in Primark for a total of £10!
I saw some really pretty outfits too in there but unfortunately my size was already sold out so
I'm gonna have to wait for them to re-stock it *hopefully* soon.

Jillian's DVD is a great start for people like me that didn't exercise before and need guidance
on correct posture, positions of knees and so on while working out.
It's divided into 3 levels. Each level is meant to last 10 days but obviously you can work more or less
than that. I have about 4 days left of level 1 and I can honestly say I feel so much stronger and resistant compared to day 1 and 2 - where I could barely breathe after each exercise.

My butt and legs hurt but I feel them coming together and forming  muscle. I have not measured my weight when I started, which for some people may sound like a mistake, but I didn't feel like I needed to.  I am not obese or overweight, I am a size 8 to 10 UK but just very unfit. For me it's not about losing weight, just becoming more resistant. I will, however, measure myself (hips, thighs etc)  when I start Level 2, just out of curiosity, to see if some fat disappears by the end of Level 3.

My mum is awesome and she purchased a couple of great things to add to my workout.
Dumbbell Set from Pineapple. They're weights. (2.5 lb). The fact that they're pink makes them more awesome.



She also got me this weighted jump rope. 



I am excited to include these in my routine! I will let you know how it all goes and let's see if i get an amazing beach body by summer! *fingers crossed*

  1. the 30 day shred really does kick your butt ! i did it via youtube but the removed level 2-3 so i was stuck mixing blogilates with level 1 which was still quite a lot !

  2. Haha, the Drop It Like A Squat vest is amazing! Definitely want to get my hands on that... :)

    I've not tried the 30 Day Shred, but after you've finished it, I'd one hundred percent recommend Insanity DVD's! I am a size 12/14, and even I noticed some muscle tone coming through, so I imagine you'd get even better results than me!
