STYLE:SKATER SKIRT (DAY-TIME EDITION) "THE ALT CHICK"

Happy saturday!

Like I promised, here's my personal "how to style" version of a skater skirt. I chose the same one I used for my night time edition, that could have been rocked at parties and clubs, only difference is: this look is perfect during the day.

As we're still in this limbo between the end of winter and the start of spring I thought I'd keep the knitwear option open but go a little shorter with a cropped one. Underneath it you can obviously wear a shirt. Frilly socks were made for creepers because they give that touch of 'girliness' to shoes that otherwise give a tough-looking vibe and might not appeal to many people.

Beauty-wise I'd say keep it rather simple. Don't go too overboard with eye makeup. Give them a little pop with a purple eyeshadow on the lower lash line but otherwise stay neutral on the lids. Mascara is what really will make your eyes look awake and complete the look. Nail polish can be either black or red just stay in the theme. As far as hair goes, go wavy/natural. Don't need to style it or spend hours on it because you do wanna give that effortless look.

This is my take on a tartan skirt, what's yours? Would you have done anything differently?
I think these kind of posts are fun and would love to do more in the future, would you enjoy them?

  5. I'm in love with all things high necked so I would have chosen some kind of crop top. I'd have deffo stuck with the frilly socks though. I have too many pairs and I show no signs of stopping. xx
