eBay is the place to go whenever you want to find a fashion bargain. Did you miss the last H&M collection? Was the jumper you spotted in TopShop officially sold out? Are those Velvet leggings too expensive on the regular highstreet? No worries, girl!
For years I have been relaying on eBay to buy some pretty awesome clothes and stay on trend whilst not spending too much money. The feeling when you realize you saved a fortune is indescribable!
I was recently approached by eBay, to create a series of fashion collections for the site. This is a new feature and what it does is help you out shopping for similar styles AND give you style advice through images. Have you ever used Pinterest? It’s a little bit like that. You can literally save specific items to collections and create a board.
I created a mix of collections that can suit completely different types of people. Some are made of a specific clothing item and then just different model/colours of the same garment. An example would be my CLASSY collection where I featured all sorts of pin up/ old school dresses so that if someone is having trouble finding any Audrey-inspired clothing, they can get some help there.
On the other hand, I also created collections that incorporate different items and are based either on materials, like velvet, or colour palettes, so that you’ll know what shoes to pair up with certain dresses or skirts.
My first collection is The Monochrome Lady. I decided to create it because black and white are a huge hit now and always will be. Different high-street shops are recreating designer-looking clothes that make you sophisticated and fashionable. My favourite pick is the high stiletto heels with open toe and back ankle strap. They seem to be something I’d find in the closet of Carrie Bradshaw.
I got inspired by celebrities too.
My favourite collection is the Cara Delevingne Style one. All fashion lovers - and not - know who this chick is. She’s fun, has amazing “off duty model” clothes and I constantly like stalking her. (That does sound a little creepy). I had a good time looking up items for the board because it was almost as if I was shopping for myself. The collection includes beanies, band t-shirts, ripped jeans and fun things like that. The theme is pretty tomboy-ish but it’s perfect for young women.
I also re-created a Kendall and Kylie Jenner lookbook, for all the younger girls that want to channel their inner Kardashian during summer at parties or out with friends. There's a combination of dresses, heels, t-shirts and more.
I think this new feature is amazing because it adds a fun way to save items you may want to purchase to refresh your wardrobe. You can follow other people's boards and get inspired. It's great not only for bloggers and people with a passion for fashion but also for the ones that may feel a little lost when they're trying to find new items. No matter your taste or style or age, you WILL find things you love!
I'll be creating more collections over on My Profile, so make sure to follow me on there and leave requests! I'll keep updating my boards and I hope you join in the fun!
