*slowly raises left hand*
I can't help myself but constantly experiment with lip products. I want them all. I need them all. Gotta catch 'em all. (any pokemon fans here? I can't be the only one..)
I promised a few of my readers on twitter that I was gonna do the review of the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée lipsticks a couple of weeks ago but homegirl was dying bewteen coursework and essays this Easter so I apologise.
Better late than never!
I thought I was pretty late with these beauties but apparently there is still a fare share of you out there who need to try them and maybe need that little extra push. Well, no worries ladies (or gents too), after reading this review I'm pretty sure you'll run to your nearest Boots and get your hands on these lippies.
Left: Eva's shade/ Right: Cherly's shade
Eva Longoria: Barely Golden . With a hint of gold added, the best to capture the radiance of matte skin and sublimate the complexion, the sun-kissed effect is worthy of the influential woman!
I would say this shade is more of a soft salmon/coral and it's perfect for spring and summer, especially after a nice tan for that pop of colour. I honestly do not notice any hint of gold added to it when I apply it on my lips. Even though Eva is a tanned lady I still think that even more pale people can rock this lipstick.
Cheryl: Barely Greige . Ultra-chic and rich in iridescence, barely greige offers a discreet contrast to the skin, thereby enhancing the natural beauty of the complexion.
Cheryl's shade is perfection in a bottle. It's the perfect "my lips but better" (argh hate the saying but it's true). EVERYONE can rock this lipstick. It blends well with your skin tone and it's so natural!
I have to say out of all the drugstore lipsticks out there at the moment, this collection's packaging really makes it look luxurious. It has that kind of "Nars" feel to it and I actually prefer black
packaging to colourful plastic.
SHOULD YOU TRY THEM?
They're moisturising, they stay on well but if you eat you need to re-apply them. They're very easy to put on, they glide on very smooth and there is a shade for each different skin-tone so you will find at least one good colour that suits you! Basically they're the bomb.
