MAC WARM NEUTRAL PALETTE - REVIEW + SWATCHES

It certainly felt like Christmas a couple of weeks ago when I met up with my boyfriend and he gifted me a MAC palette. He's a keeper for sure.

MAC is one of those iconic brands that all us beauty bloggers love a lot, especially at the beginning. When you watch YouTube videos and see those pretty girls show their lipstick and eyeshadow collection like it was gold it does make you want to go out and splurge on unnecessary makeup because..well, because it's cool and you like it. duh

Now, let's dive into the review!

FIRST LOOK

We could say this palette has 3 different colour schemes going: a pink one (first row), a gold one (second row) and a yellow/green one (third row).

SWATCHES!
* the shades I make bold are my favourites

FIRST ROW - SWATCHES

{From left to right}
Hey, Warm Breeze, Gingersnap, Dark Brew, Dance In The Dark

SECOND ROW - SWATCHES

{From left to right}
Brule, Vanilla Extract, Honey Lust, Amber Lights, Saddle

THIRD ROW - SWATCHES

{From left to right}
Lemon Tart, Creative Copper, Butterfudge, Divine Decadence, Unwind

FACTS:

Number of colours: 15
Number of permanent shades: 4
Number of re-promoted shades: 4
Rest: NEW SHADES!
Price: £65
Packaging: Quite slim, magnetic closure

PROS:

- Good value for money
- Amazing pigmentation
- No fallouts or chunkiness
- Great selection of every-day shades and undertones
- Good option for new mac newbies to try more eyeshadows

CONS:

- Pans are glued into the palette
- Could have used a few darker shades
- Could have added a few more matte shades
-There are cheaper options for neutral palettes out there

FINAL OPINION:

I love this palette. I have been using it non-stop. The colours last all day on my oily lids even with no primer applied! You can tell they're high quality. I know that in the market there are hundreds of neutral  palettes but that doesn't mean they're Urban Decay copies! I own the NAKED palette and saw no similarities with it.

If you want I could do a comparison.

I think it's  a perfect summer palette that can also be used in the colder months to add some life. The shades would work well on all skin tones but you olive gals out there would look like bronze goddesses! ;)

Let me know if you'd like to see the palette in action with some tutorials!

You can watch me blabber about the palette on my channel:

Hope you found the review helpful!
Let me know what you think of this palette and if you'll purchase or pass.

    1. Aw I am a little intimidated by the MAC MUAs in store too but now they know my face and they know that if I need anything I'll ask them. Just get in there and swatch away! They don't mind :)

  7. These are so pretty and pigmented. I love this. I also agree that it is a con that the pans are glued to the palette. Great review!

  10. Your boyfriend bought you a MAC palette? MARRY HIM. Haha! All the swatches look amazingly pigmented and lovely, I think they're great! £65 is pretty pricey for a palette though, but as you'd only be able to get 4 shaddows for £10 and a palette for £14 it is very good value for money if you're not too fussy on the shades! 14. What an awesome gift!! Definitely is a gorgeous palette there's no arguing with that. Can't believe how big the price difference is between Australian and English MAC palettes though :( Australia is so much more money. Definitely a good value and all-rounder piece to have in any collection though. Would love to see a tutorial with Unwind! It's such a beautiful colour. Hope you have a great day :)

  17. I actually got interested in this palette because of you! But for some reason it costs twice as much as the UK price (65£ is more or less 75€ and they ask her 140€ for this palette...insane!)
    I would get it since, this has the selection that I like and I can always get more colours in the future and pop them into a Z palette (the pro palettes aren't available here...along with pan shadows TWT ugh the drama...nothing that a few friends living in the UK can't help!)

    Take care, have a nice day!*

    1. DAAAAAMN!
      This is crazy!

      It's like that Laura Mercier artist palette that was retailing for around £60 and now they're selling it for over £100. Ugh
      Can't imagine how much that one would cost over there where you live!
