SEPHORA COLOR MY LIFE TABLET: REVIEW+SWATCHES

Ahhhh Sephora, my love.

If you follow me on twitter or on intagram, you'd know that my mom went to Italy for a few days to visit a friend. OBVIOUSLY I took the chance and asked her to get me a few things from there. Now, surprise surprise, I didn't ask her to pop into Sephora because I can be quite picky with my makeup and I like to swatch and do my research before purchasing something expensive.

She decided to be adventurous and venture into the unknown deep abyss that is the makeup world, on her own. Obviously she came out victorious and alive with this new spring palette once she was back in UK. "Is that... an iPad with a flashy pink cover...?" was my question when she handed it to me. Yep, this palette looks literally like a tablet - from a certain distance.

I didn't even know this was set to be a new release - and when I googled it I didn't find ONE result on the internet (ooooh).  I could have posted this review THAT DAY but what's the point? I need to play with a palette every day for at least a week to be able to give you my full review. That's the way homegirl rules.

Now, let's have a look at this baby, shall we.

COLOUR MY LIFE

FACTS:

36 EYESHADOWS
6 LIP GLOSSES
GOOD MIX OF MATTE, SHIMMER AND GLITTER

Each horizontal line of eyeshadow is meant to be used together for a look. From the left the shades have been given letters "A" to "F"to make the application order simpler.

SHADE A - Apply as base from lid to brow
SHADE B or C - Apply on lid
SHADE D or E - Apply in the crease
SHADE F - Apply as eyeliner

Complete the look with gloss.

First row: "SUNDAY BRUNCH"

Second Row: "COFFEE BREAK"

 Third row: "ALWAYS IN LOVE"

Fourth row: "HAPPY HOUR"

Fifth row: GIRL'S NIGHT OUT

Sixth row: "DATE NIGHT"

The Lipglosses

{They're creamy, not sticky and they don't smell or taste of anything}

THE PROS:

- Amazing selection of shades
- VERY Pigmented eyeshadows
- Easy to blend
{ Glitters are not chunky ! }
- Good value for money

THE CONS:

- Mix of lip products with eyeshadows with no separation
- Magnetic cover is not very secure. There is however an elastic band to seal it all together.
- Quite bulky/ heavy packaging

THE FINAL OPINION

This palette is a must-have for summer. Look at all those shades! You pack it up well in your luggage  and wherever you go you'll be able to create any imaginable look! It's also a good deal for people that are scared of playing with bright and bold shades and don't wanna spend much. For only $34 is not too bad. I am not a huge fan of the lipglosses being right next to the eyeshadows because shit happens but you can keep the elastic cover on top of the glosses to avoid a major mess.

FINAL SCORE

9/10
