Ahhhhh it feels good to be back and in order to make my official first post awesome I had to feature one of the products that I just couldn't wait to get my hands on while in America.
If you followed me for a while then it's no surprise that the top choice was an eye palette. And it's not just an eye palette like any other. This one, ladies, is ALL matte HOWEVER you transform the shades into shimmers when you want. If that doesn't sound like magic then I don't know what does.
So, shall we get started?
The palette comes in one lovely dusty pink shade and has a magnetic closure. Some people seem to dislike it and find it cheap-looking but I don't mind it at all. It does the job well. The only downside is that the material they used gathers dust and gets dirty very easily, a little bit like the first Naked palette.
At the back of the carton box it comes with, there is a really nice quote too which some will find cheesy or overused in general but I always appreciate the little things.
Now, onto the eyeshadows!
I have never REALLY paid major attention to descriptions on websites but I happen to do a little more research on this one and found some very interesting informations I would like to share with you all. On ULTA's online store I read this:
"These luxe, anti-aging shadows were developed with plastic surgeons to instantly diffuse the look of lines and wrinkles on the eyes and lids."
So, if you have these kind of issues and tend to avoid playing with eye makeup then worry no more! My mum actually tried it and it made her look so nice and refreshed! She loved it. Will it take years off your lids? Not really, but the texture and the way they eyes look changes quite a bit. It just gives a pop of life back in there.
"Includes Hydrating Age Reverse and Prevent Complex and infused with Peptides, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Silk, Anti-Oxidants and Drops of Light Technology. Paraben-free, fragrance-free, sulfate-free, cruelty free"
If you read this far and you're still not impressed then I am slightly concerned because THIS is a dreamy purchase!
From left to right: Sheer Joy, Soft Light, Warmth, Soulful, Mocha
Violet, Midnight, Noir, Love, Sunrise
Sunset, All Heart, Java, Iconic, TRANSFORMING PEARL*
As you can see there is a wide variety of colours that gives you the chance to create amazing looks - both warm tones and cool tones. You get transitions shades, dark shades, highlight shades and lid colours to make the statement.
Are they powdery? Nope.
They feel smooth and buttery and apply better on the lid than on my arm.
You can use them both wet and dry, depending on the intensity you want to go for.
They blend really easily.
If you want to make them shimmery all you do is take the TRANSFORMING PEARL* shade and dust it lightly on top of the matte shadow you applied. You won't get major shimmer/glitter, but it will be visible!
WIDE VARIETY OF SHADES
GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT
VALUE FOR MONEY
EASY TO USE FOR BOTH BEGINNERS AND PROS
but a splurge is good sometimes, right?
In Florida it was a little cheaper obviously.
