NEW: RIMMEL WONDER'FULL MASCARA REVIEW

Rimmel is one of my favourite brands on the hughstreet - if not my all time favourite. From lipsticks to concealers to blushes...they just nail it! I'm always excited when they launch new products and I always expect the best from them. Just a few days ago I reviewed another new release, their Brow Gels. But that's not it. They released a new mascara!

I was a little bit confused as to why they felt the need to release a new mascara when in the past 6 months they already launched 2 other ones! One of them I reviewed and loved straight away, it was their Rockin Curves Mascara. The other was from the Kate Moss collection and I skipped it because it was very similar to the previous one that I mentioned and I didn't really need any addition to my stash.

The Wonder'Full mascara though caught my eye immediately because of the bronze goddess packaging and the plastic applicator that didn't look clumpy or weird. I picked it up immediately the day it hit the shelves and played with it for long enough to be able to give you a nice review. Let's begin!

Price : Currently it's £5.99 - Original price is £7.99

The Product : The main wow-factor is that this bad boy has Argan Oil. We all know the good properties of it and I like the fact that they wanted to incorporate it on a product we use daily in our quest to look good and awake. The wand is plastic, flexible and doesn't get too much product out so you definitely won't have the issue of a clumpy look. The actual mascara is quite light and liquid-y almost at first sight.

My Thoughts : This claims to be a volumizing mascara. To me, it's more of a lengthening one. You can see in the photo below where I applied it that the final look is very natural. It's quite light-weight and the applicator makes it easy to literally grab lash-by-lash from root to tip. It has good resistance to water and sweat in case you were curious. This is for girls that like a natural pretty look so if you're into huge BOOM lashes this is not for you. That's the only thing that left me a tad confused. This is definitely more of a length than volume kinda product and I believe they should advertise it as that. Do I like it? Yes, I do. I mean ...it has good proprieties, it's resistant, it looks lovely. You can coat on more layers to get a night-out look or keep it light and fresh. It's also easy to remove at the end of the day.

FINAL SCORE : 9/10

Will you pick up this mascara?

  1. SO lovely and lengthening on your lashes! I usually use a volumising one by Maybelline but have been trying the BareMinerals mascara (similar to this) and my eyes look so wide and awake - amazing

  17. I'm not sure why they needed to release another mascara. I don't think I'd get this as having tried another mascara from no7 who had argan oil it and the results being the same as what you achieved from this I reckon mascaras with argan oil aren't going to be very volumising. I love the packaging tho x

  19. Great review! I agree with your verdict, I thought it was more lengthening too not really volumising. I bought this about 2 weeks ago and didn't really give it enough credit so after reading this I might go back to it again and use it more :)
