It's the weekend, ladies!
Anyone planning a nice night out, rocking a smokey eye and some high heels? I have been more social recently and used many occasions to start playing with darker makeup because I always tend to stick to my neutrals and never really risk it.
I believe a couple of weeks ago or so I found out a new palette was going to hit us all (that sounds a little dramatic, doesn't it?) and I prepared myself to welcome it with wide open arms! The main reason I was 100% sure it was going to be good is because of the brand and my past experience with their products. Sleek palettes have always been one of the best on the market in my opinion. They're affordable, pigmented, have a wide variety of shades and finishes and come in a travel-friendly packaging.
Some Facts : The Arabian Nights Palette is a limited edition treasure with some of the best names to keep you in the theme from start to finish! It retails for £7.99 and has 12 eyeshadow pans in it.
The Colours : I think this is a perfect palette for autumn/winter. It has some neutrals and then some darker shades with pops of colour like blue, green, plum etc.
I do wish there were more matte transition shades to use, especially a classic one like skin-brown that always helps blending and brings the look together.
The Pigmentation : The pigmentation was a Boom this time too, especially if the shadows are used wet!
Is it worth it ? For such an affordable price I do think it's worth it. The only question is - will you be using most eyeshadows?
I think this is a great purchase if like me, you'd like to get into more of a smokey look sometimes and you enjoy playing out of your comfort zone. Most of the shades aren't really day-time appropriate but since the price tag doesn't break your bank, it is a nice addition to your collection.
FINAL SCORE : 9/10
Will you be getting the palette?
