EAU DE GAGA - THE PERFECT UNISEX PERFUME?

"For the adventurous woman and the man who loves her"

I wanted to think of a cool intro but nothing came to mind. It's just one of those perfumes. What I mean by that is - I bought it without even smelling it first. I needed it. I just went "MINE" as soon as I spotted it on the perfumeshop site. The reason is mainly because I'm a "little monster" and very much look up to many things that Lady Gaga does. The struggle of being a fan is that sometimes you just want the product because of the way it has been branded and you almost forget about the actual scent.

Speaking about scents...I need to say in advance that this is the first time ever I reviewed a perfume and my skills when it comes to describing what I smell are pretty basic, so I'll do my best.

The packaging : The first thing I would say is that it's pretty simple, sleek, high-end and it reminds me a lot of Tom Ford. Compared to the original Fame perfume this one does seem a lot more unisex even from the exterior look. The packaging is made of glass but it's still light and handbag friendly. Mine hasn't left my purse from the day I got it.
The scent : I can definitely sense lime and citrus. It's very grassy and fresh. It has that "just been at the spa and got covered in herbs" kind of mood. This is not a flowery typical girly girl kind of scent that is a everywhere right now. Many men complained that Fame (which was also supposed to be unisex) was not masculine enough to wear for them. Well gents, this is here for you! There is a light hint of tea, literally ever so slightly hint of violet too and when you wear it for a while you can smell leather at the base. Quite a complex one to decode but definitely different. It's strong but not too strong and great for the upcoming colder months.
The occasion : I would say this is perfect for both day and night. Beware though - it's very light. If you're someone that likes to leave a "trace" and for people to smell your awesomeness from miles away even after 8 hours then this is not for you. I would say the longevity on me was around the 6-7 hours mark.
Final Thoughts : It's not the typical pop star perfume and it's very unisex indeed. My boyfriend loved it as well! I think it's one of those products that you're  either obsessed with or you hate, there's no in-between, just like the artist that created it. Definitely give it a try next time you wonder around a perfume shop or at the airport! You might be surprised! I am in love. I feel quite powerful and "boss bitch"- like when I have this on.

I hope you found this review helpful.

  17. Yeah I think this is the perfect fragrance which works for both the genders. I've already tried discount fragrances of the Eau de Gaga and it smells perfect, at least for me.
