GOODBYE DEAD SKIN - BURT'S BEES SUGAR SCRUB REVIEW

Guess who's going back to university next week? Yep, this one right here. Oddly enough I'm excited because I was a little bored of just begin chilled out at home all the time. I'm ready for new challenges. Now though, I did want to prep myself a little since this weekend is my birthday and I felt like having a princess-like treatment but on a budget.

My skin has been feeling a little bit lifeless and dull lately, so in the past couple of weeks I added this new little extra product in my shower routine that was kindly sent to me and that completely changed the texture and overall look of my skin. The secret weapon in question is the Burt's Bees sugar scrub - and I have two. One is in Honey & Shea* and the other one is in Mango & Orange*

Price : £12.99
The Packaging : It comes in a regular plastic container which is better for me than glass because I do drop things a lot every day.
The Product : This scrub is very thick and has a lot of liquid on the surface that looks like oil. You can see from the photo above though, that it almost looks like jelly when you open it up. When you pick up some of the scrub, it's like the grains mix with the oils immediately and sink in at the click of a finger once you start massaging everything on the skin. I apply it in circular motions everywhere on my body focusing on the more rough parts that need to go back at being soft as a baby's butt-cheek. It's also excellent for areas where I have some hyper-pigmentation after spots are gone - anyone suffering from back acne, you know what I'm talking about.
The Fragrance : Wow, it's pretty powerful when the lid is off. You definitely want to pick up a scent that you like. It's worth noting that it does not last much on your skin afterwards though, so if that was a concern you definitely don't need to worry.
Final Thoughts : I love body scrubs and this one definitely didn't let me down. I feel soft, smooth and clean after every wash and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all which is a major bonus. I will definitely be picking up the Honey & Shea one again since it's my favourite in terms of smell as soon as I'm done using my current one.
Final Score : 10/10

Have you ever tried this scrub before?
What's your favourite product for exfoliating you skin? I'm always on a hunt for new body scrubs to try!

XOXO

ps- Burt's Bees is celebrating 30 years so i thought you want to know that you can get your hands on some pretty awesome products at discounted prices!

  13. This body scrub does look gorgeous! I thought it was honey at first glance of the first picture. Ha! I can imagine that it smells really fruity and almost edible? :) Would love to try that. I've used Soap & Glory's which also smelled quite strong and I'm using a Laura Mercier (fig) one. It's very nice! xx
