Ahhh foundations..the most important thing in my beauty routine yet the most stressful one to choose. I am indeed part of the group of girls that is extremely critical when it comes to what I use to make my skin look better. I always have a mini breakdown when one of my foundations is done and I need to get a new one. "Why the hell do you stress? Just get the same one" you may ask yourselves, well let's just say that I like to experiment and always try new things since the makeup world has a lot to offer! I tend to stick to high end because unfortunately I tried many in the drugstores and they all miserably failed because of a variety of reasons.
Before I get started I should mention that I have sensitive combination skin prone to acne and obviously have lovely hyper-pigmentation marks here and there. My skin colour is really tough to match because I am quite pale but very very veeeery olive toned so I do struggle to find a shade that is not too pink for me. All that said, let's get into the review!
Cost : £34
Use : Day and Night - No SPF so you won't get any nasty ghost effect in your photos but it's light enough to allow you to use spf protection if needed during the day!
Formula : Oil- free and long wear.
Application : I like to apply this with a buffing brush but it's very runny so some of you may like to use your fingers. You really need to shake it well because colour true pigments rest at the bottom of the package while reflective waters (Hydro-Brilliant Technology) float to the top. This is supposed to be the secret to this foundation being super lightweight yet covering discolouration, hyper-pigmentation and other imperfections. The only down side is the applicator which is a small tube that keeps pushing out this precious liquid on its own. Yep, you read that one right. Not sure if it's only mine being weird but I feel like some product goes to waste in the span of time from opening it to trying to close this little glossy container . I just couldn't photograph it and show you because I didn't wanna risk wasting any of it.
Final Thoughts : I really really REALLY love it! The final result is amazing. My shade is Linen and it suits my actual skin colour so well that it almost looks like as if I haven't got any foundation on! I love how it sets quite quickly, feels very lightweight and makes my skin breathe while making it super soft at the touch. I would say it's light to medium coverage. I think this foundation is for people that have some skin imperfections but not serious bad acne since it is quite light and runny for some that are used to so really heavy duty stuff. I didn't need a setting powder so definitely a plus for all the oily skin girls out there! Make sure to moisturise well if you have really dry skin to avoid the product highlighting those sahara desert areas as I call them.
Flawless skin finish
Packaging (at least mine..)
