I am one of those people who's always up for a challenge and I love to find the newest products on the market and brands that maybe aren't super hyped up. It makes the whole experience of trying new things more exciting because there are not 10000 reviews online and you don't know what to expect. I have come across a brand called Monu while browsing around FeelUnique and couldn't help but place an order because I have never heard of them before.
The item I selected was something I desperately needed since my skin was feeling dry and sensitive: the Monu Delicate Facial Wash . It was a little over my budget but I couldn't find anything else that caught my eye in Boots or Superdrug so I just went with my gut instinct and purchased it; pretty risky huh? Little did I know, I was going to fall in love and put it up there in my Holy Grail Products list.
Price : £16.50
The Product : A rich pearlescent and creamy facial wash that feels very lightweight and organic when applied on the skin. It contains vitamin-enriched Yoghurt Extract to soothe and calm, peptides to help comfort sensitive and dry skin plus aromatic bergamot, lemon, grapefruit and orange essential oils. Sounds pretty dreamy so far right? The smell is pretty lemon fresh yet toned down and when you're done washing your face with it your skin feels soft.
The Process : It's not rocket science, I know. I make my face wet with some water and then massage the product everywhere around my face for 15 seconds roughly to then wash it off. It has a very thick and creamy texture that needs proper massaging but after you rinse everything off your skin is as soft as a cloud. It may not feel as if it's doing something in the process but the 'after' result is what counts.
My Final Thoughts/ Why I like it : My skin is clearer, less red, less sensitive and overall better looking. I did a Foundation Routine video on my channel where you can clearly see me with NO MAKEUP on and I am pretty pleased with my current skin. It hasn't looked this clear in years and it never felt so relaxed. It doesn't have that stretchy/dehydrated feeling and it's not as dry as it usually gets at this time of the year with the weather changes. You need the tiniest amount to work on your skin so don't worry about going that mile extra with your money to get this - it's worth every penny.
