THE OIL FOR OILY GALS?!? - Aromatheraphy Associates Hydrating Nourishing Face Oil

Hello lovelies!

I hope you're all having a wonderful start to your weekend.
With winter here it's no surprise my skin has been feeling tight, dehydrated and dull. I like that I'm not a greasy oily girl as much but this situation isn't great either which made me go for a big skincare SOS change. As many other women with oily/combo skin, the thought of applying an oil on top of my natural oils makes me cringe. I'm not even going to tell you how many times I have been told by my girlfriends to TRY using this kind of product and how many times I just looked at them like:

Look at me now though, sat here ready to rave about the Aromatheraphy Associates Hydrating Nourishing Face Oil (mouthful, I know). I'm not new to this brand, I raved about their Revive Body Gel and also featured something cool by this company on my latest Beauty Gift Guide for Her under £45. Now, after all the link spamming I'll get to it. Grab a cuppa.

The Product : This oil comes in a simple packaging with a pump (bless the pump, seriously) and it contains a blend of nutrients to nourish dry and dehydrated skin. Evening primrose oil replenishes essential fatty acids and helps to soften and smooth dry skin, whilst rose stimulates circulation, keeping your complexion looking youthful and radiant. Lots of fancy words and even fancier ingredients.
The Price : maybe you should take a seat.... it's £42.00. Before clicking off this page and thinking this is just insane...keep on reading.
The Use : You need literally the TINIEST amount to work through your whole face. Don't think "oh, but I have a big head (?) or whatever nonsense. I share this product with my mum and the two of us have been using it for a few weeks and there's still 99% of the product in there. It will last you AGES hence the high price. You pay for quality but the quantity is there too! I only use mine at night, after cleansing my skin. The scent is relaxing and it literally does perform miracles. From day 2 my skin was feeling more nourished and my dry patches almost disappeared completely. Like I said, I have combination skin prone to acne and this product did NOT break me out nor did it make me more greasy. It's quite lightweight and it feels really nice when it's on, like I've been at a spa treatment.
My Final Thoughts : I love it. My sensitive skin worked really well with this and I'm so happy with the results! I do admit that over £4O can be quite high for many - including myself - but see it as an investment. I am used to buying cheap products for skin most of the time but then I realised - what's more important than you taking care of your skin and using the best of the best on it? Better skin also means less caked on foundation aka more natural skin and more confidence.
FINAL SCORE : 10/10

  1. I have recently been introduced to Aromatherapy products and I have to say I am really impressed. The Breathe Support range has been fantastic whilst I have been ill with a head cold.
