Beauty x Fitness // BIONSEN sensitive deodorant

So 2014 is over and this girl starts the gym on the 16th of January right after I'll give my last essay in. As much as I am excited to start this new journey I can't deny I'm getting worried about all the possible excuses I may create the first few months to "skip" a session. Apparently you need only 21 days to develop a new habit but I'm of the opinion that when you're trying to add something as big as a new fitness routine it can take up to 12 weeks - I have seen it before with friends.

Now, to get excited and pumped up about this new adventure, I am gathering all the essentials ready to roll and the first thing I wanted to share with you all is my latest secret find - a new awesome brand called Bionsen that makes some great Deodorants.

I am well aware that many of you will roll your eyes thinking "deodorant? Really, Kris?" but come on, if there is one thing you use every day it's a deodorant - unless you wanna kill someone on the tube by "armpit-action" like I say.

When working out you really want to avoid stinking too much since if you go back regularly people will recognise your face. I'm one of those paranoid people that thinks there's always someone judging me when I do stuff so I have to try and prevent any possible awkward situation even though we all know you'll end up looking red and sweaty when working out - it's why you're there!

Key Facts about the product:
- Contains no parabens
- No aluminium
- Contains vital spa-minerals to keep skin glowing
- It's great for sensitive skin

I have been using different deodorants for years and I must admit I never really paid attention if said deodorants had aluminium in them but then I started actually giving a damn about what was going on my body and realised that getting anti-perspirant stuff wasn't really great considering sweating is natural and we need to get rid of toxins. I don't want to sound like an old annoying grandma but I do really recommend watching what you use because your body will thank you in the long run.

The way Bionsen is effective is that it only prevents bacteria from growing and neutralises bad odour whilst still being great for people with sensitive skin. Both my nan and I tested these deodorants and neither of us had any stinging problem, which is great because it can be hard, especially for my grandma, to find something that works for her.

My favourite between the two I tested is the Roll-On because I found it easier for carrying on-the-go and shoving it in my purse and I felt it was more delicate than the spray.

FINAL SCORE : 1O/1O

Is anyone else bothered about the ingredients in their every-day products like deodorants?
Have you ever tried this brand before?

  7. I've been getting more and more into noticing what's in the products I'm using, I think it's really important to limit the amount of toxins you're exposing yourself to on a day to day basis so this is a great find! Thanks for the review :) xx

  13. I never really think about the toxins but I've always thought that surely blocking up the sweat from coming out isn't a good thing for our bodies! I am funny over my deodorant but I may have to try this!
