A little dusty and scratched after being
in my bag all day. Still though, beautiful goodies.
Is it a spoiler if the first photo features what I ended up picking at this makeup/beauty exchange? Oops then. And yes, the couple of things I got are pretty damn awesome if I say so myself. Let's rewind a little though, shall we?
Last week I was invited to Brent Cross' shopping centre to bring some old makeup. Being a hoarder means I still have palettes I used to use when I was 15 that I keep at the back of my draws for sentimental reasons. A little crazy, isn't it? I decided it was time to let it go, in the famous Frozen words, and do something a little different for the day. Awaiting upon my arrival there were small stalls and stands with lots of amazing brands such as Murad, Number 7, Kiehl's and more.
There were people getting their hair done by Toni&Guy and a few others waiting to find out what their best N7 lipstick shade is, thanks to their matching service. I tried it too and I fell in love with a gem called Ginger Rose which I'm most likely going to get very soon so keep an eye out for that.
Now the exciting part: I got given in exchange a £50 voucher and I almost shed a tear. I ran straight to the NARS counter and FINALLY got their ITA BRUSH! With a few pounds to spare I couldn't miss getting a TopShop lipstick to add to my collection as well.
I'm aware that getting rid of makeup to then exchange it with some new one isn't exactly a healthy way of doing things but I'm sure lots of women appreciated that. Sometimes we just can't afford to get that special something. I, for one, would never spend over £40 on a BRUSH. This was my one shot and I'm so happy. (FYI - I still can't bring myself to use it. It's sat on my desk and all I can do is stare at it)
In case you're wondering, I WILL be doing a review on the brush soon, when I eventually use it. Also, this wasn't a one-off event so I thought it would be great for you all to know that they will do similar things in the future. Keep an eye out on the Brent Cross Shopping Centre site!
A sunny day means there HAD to be a photo of the semi-clear sky.
Now tell me, what would YOU get with a £50 voucher?
