THE DATE DRESS BY LITTLE MISTRESS

Coat - Autograph
Shoes - Zara
Bag - DKNY

Every end of the month my boyfriend and I celebrate something we call "monthversary". Now, I know that for some of you this will sound totally cringey and weird but it's just something we like to do as a treat. Instead of spending the evening indoors watching Netflix and sipping tea as usual, we like to dress a little more classy and go to our favourite restaurant in town. We love asian food so spicy noodles are the top pick for both of us.

We just celebrated 2 years and 11 months so at the end of May it will be three years, which is amazing since he's my first ever boyfriend and I couldn't be more pleased and chuffed with the fact that I'm with my bestest friend. Anyway, I better stop talking about this like a 12 year old and get to the point of the post.

Even though I'm a lover of boyfriend jeans, oversized sweaters and sneakers, sometimes I do dress up and like to wear something more elegant. I was kindly sent this gorgeous, and I mean GORGEOUS maxi dress by Little Mistress, which was released in collaboration with Look Magazine recently.

My piece is called "Evie" and it's just breath-taking. I did choke up a little when I wore it  the first time because I felt like a real princess. The nautical trend is back and the zig-zag printed hem adds a little edge to a simple and timeless dress. It comes with a slim black and gold belt which adds warmth to the look and an extra detail. I paired it up with my DKNY Hudson bag I got at House Of Fraser last year when there was a massive sale and a pair of classy Zara stilettos. I found a shorter version of the dress as well, in case Maxi isn't your thing; it will be linked down below in the Shop The Post section.

  3. That's a really nice dress and the coat goes well too. That's where I usually struggle - finding the right coat or jacket to go over dressy clothes.

  10. What a beautiful dress!! You definitely do look like a princess in it. And omg that's so entirely sweet about you and your boyfriend doing monthversary celebrations! He must be a keeper to do something like that since it seems like a lot of men are usually so "ugh" about things like that. ;P
