Who isn't a shoe lover? Back in the day, when I was an "emo" child, all you'd see me wear is my trusty Converse but now, things have changed. I blame my huge obsession with Sex & The City and my little girl-crush on Carrie Bradshaw, who's shoe collection is just goals. Let's face it. I want a pair of Manolo Blahnik for my wedding, mmhkay?
I did a couple of posts on new shoes whenever I bought them which went down really well so I thought it would be nice to do a #TuesdayShoesDay tag on my blog to keep you all updated with my growing obsession with footwear.
I managed to find these little gems in the Zara sale section recently and nope, not featuring heels here yet because for work I tend to stay in the comfy-zone. When you work in retail, even if it's part time, your feet just KILL YOU at the end of the shift.
My usual go-to shoes for uni are pointy boots with chunky heels but I wanted to change it up a little and I went for this lace-up number which is perfect for the current gloomy not-quite-summer-yet hormonal weather. They're light, comfortable and the gold detail brings a certain edge and expensive look to them. They're real leather so top quality guaranteed which I'm pleased with. I think they can be worn both day and night, from the everyday skinny jeans to some light black dress with a nice print - think Brandy Melville style. Of course nothing goes better with leather than more leather so a jacket of the same material will make you look damn stylish.
I put together a little selection of similar styles in case you can't find this pair anymore and also a few garnments I would wear them with.
What do you think of this pair? I know footwear is really personal and not everyone agrees with trends (like ahem, Birkenstock sandals).
I hope you're having a fabulous start to the week!
