RIMMEL LONDON x KATE MOSS || DARE TO GO BARE NUDE LIPSTICKS

"How many nude lipsticks do you need?! They all look the same" said my mum. "Excuse me? The same? Can't you see this one has warm undertones and this one is more cool? LOOK AT THEM".
And that, ladies and gents, is what a trip to Superdrug sounds like whenever I drag my mum in there to help me shopping. Come on, there's never enough nude lipsticks in one's collection. Am I right?

Anyway, my favourite drugstore brand released a new collaboration with Kate Moss that I couldn't pass up. First of all, I always like the quality of Rimmel lipsticks, but there's something even grater about their formula whenever they work with Kate. From the matte reds to the creamy pinks, I ended up collection pretty much all the shades they sell.

This new collection has SIX new colours but I ended up buying three because that was my budget and I wanted to make sure they worked well with my skin tone. If you have a hard time figuring it out, they actually have a chart to show which colour would go well with which complexion which I found to be helpful.

Price : £ 5.49
Packaging/ Extra : Identical packaging to the past Kate collaborations, just a lighter shade to go well with the nude vibe. The smell is also very sweet and pleasant but doesn't linger on for long which should't put anyone off.
Consistency/ Quality/ Longevity : Extremely creamy and build-able  I found these to be quite good for both day and night and great for people who like to overline their lips. You can rock these shades both with and without a lip liner, but due to how creamy they are, if you want no bleeding on the edge I would suggest using something like an invisible lip pencil that Rimmel itself offers. Obviously these are not stains which means you will need to apply them again after big meals.

My favourite shade is number 45 that I believe would suit most people. Something like number 43 would go really well on tanned gals, especially during or after a holiday. Next payday I will definitely go out and get the rest of them. There is at least a shade that will work on you, so don't give up and go swatch them in stores as soon as possible!

Well done Rimmel, well done.

  5. I also have huge amounts of nude lipsticks which my mum claims are all the same! I absolutely love the colour of the packaging of these nudes, they would definitely stand out in my makeup collection. I picked up the shade 45 and I love it! It's the perfect everyday nude and I agree that the shade would suit any skin tone x

  7. I absolutely agree about the Kate Moss x Rimmel range, never been disappointed by them! I'll be sure to check these shades out (especially like the look of 45!). Have you tried Maybelline's Colour Elixir in Nude Illusion? It's kind of a cross between a lipstick and gloss, it's my current beauty obsession!

  17. These look really gorgeous, but I think they will be to pale for my pale skin tone. I find I need pops of colour rather than nudes because they just wash me out xx

  23. These look lovely although I do believe they would be too light for my skintone. No one can have too many nude lipsticks, it's like neutral palettes - It just never happens x

  34. Laughed out loud at your opening paragraph. I bought a nice new nude lipstick last month and I asked Nathan how it looked and he said "Like you're not wearing any lipstick, what's the point of that"? How rude!! Anyway, I think your new Rimmel lippies look amazing, and I may have to try them out for myself ;)

  40. I was looking at this range in other day in my local Boots but had the EXACT same conversation with my mother, who managed to convince me that considering I'm watching the pennies I can't possibly need another nude lip colour. She's wrong though and I'm definitely going to bag at least one of these next time I'm in town! Thanks for sharing x
