"How many nude lipsticks do you need?! They all look the same" said my mum. "Excuse me? The same? Can't you see this one has warm undertones and this one is more cool? LOOK AT THEM".
And that, ladies and gents, is what a trip to Superdrug sounds like whenever I drag my mum in there to help me shopping. Come on, there's never enough nude lipsticks in one's collection. Am I right?
Anyway, my favourite drugstore brand released a new collaboration with Kate Moss that I couldn't pass up. First of all, I always like the quality of Rimmel lipsticks, but there's something even grater about their formula whenever they work with Kate. From the matte reds to the creamy pinks, I ended up collection pretty much all the shades they sell.
This new collection has SIX new colours but I ended up buying three because that was my budget and I wanted to make sure they worked well with my skin tone. If you have a hard time figuring it out, they actually have a chart to show which colour would go well with which complexion which I found to be helpful.
Price : £ 5.49
Packaging/ Extra : Identical packaging to the past Kate collaborations, just a lighter shade to go well with the nude vibe. The smell is also very sweet and pleasant but doesn't linger on for long which should't put anyone off.
Consistency/ Quality/ Longevity : Extremely creamy and build-able I found these to be quite good for both day and night and great for people who like to overline their lips. You can rock these shades both with and without a lip liner, but due to how creamy they are, if you want no bleeding on the edge I would suggest using something like an invisible lip pencil that Rimmel itself offers. Obviously these are not stains which means you will need to apply them again after big meals.
My favourite shade is number 45 that I believe would suit most people. Something like number 43 would go really well on tanned gals, especially during or after a holiday. Next payday I will definitely go out and get the rest of them. There is at least a shade that will work on you, so don't give up and go swatch them in stores as soon as possible!
Well done Rimmel, well done.
