If you're on the lookout for a new and all-natural vegan brand, then you've come to the right place.
I'm not going to lie guys, I buy my makeup pretty freely and sometimes ( actually, quite often..) I forget to check what the ingredients are in my eyeshadows and lip glosses. Newbie error, I know, but unfortunately when it comes to beauty I do admit I'm a tad too visual and go for the usual "cute" packaging. Nevertheless, lately I have been trying to be good and making sure that whatever I slap on my face has the most amount of natural ingredients that won't cause irritation.
I came across this brand called Benecos a while ago and whilst I wanted to report back to you immediately I had one of those blogger moments where no matter how many times I photographed and wrote down a review I was never happy enough.
Here I am, a few months later and my little bookmark reminded me to really post about these two products that I thought were worth a mention, so time for take two!
I initially was intrigued because everything about this brand is natural - being super focused on using exclusively organic ingredients and without testing on animals. I wasn't particularly attracted by the packaging but hey, whatever. At the end of the day, it's the product's quality that counts.
I was really pleased with their Natural Lip Gloss, which I tested in the shade Praline, a 'clear' gloss with a hint of shimmer, just to add a little extra volume to your lips. It's not sticky and it felt so soothing and moisturising just like a balm. Do not get scared of the tube in the photo, I know the brownish can put off many people but that's definitely not what it looks like when applied.
The Baked Duo Eyeshadow is a pigmented little number that performs so well on the eyes, great to achieve simple looks or to just contour the eye area and add some dimension. This product reminds me of the Nars eyeshadow duos. Perfect for people who don't tend to wear 3+ colours on the lid too often and like a very straight-forward compact OR people who want to take something on-the-go when they travel - which is not a big palette. Personally when I go somewhere I tend to wear the simplest makeup and focus primarily on the base rather than a fancy smokey eye.
I really like this brand and I definitely plan on testing a few other products from them. Let me know if you're interested in me reviewing more vegan companies and I will definitely do my best to find some to feature!
