When they say it's all in the tools more than the products you use, they're right.
For the longest time I experimented with brushes and used them all for a million purposes and it can all work well somehow however I did notice one thing : when it comes to cheeks, I feel like you really need to find THE tool, not just ANY tool.
I'm pretty sure we're all familiar with Real Techniques but another brand I came across lately has been L.A.B.2 which is also available in Superdrug. The look of the "Make Me Blush" brush is sleek and classy and the handles are rubbery, similar to Nars products, making it feel quite luxe. The thing that really made this brush stand out is the way it applied blush and bronzer - flawlessly. The dome/"Egg"-shape somehow sits perfectly on your face and it applies just the right amount of product in the exact area you want it. It's easy to wash too thanks to the synthetic bristles, which is a bonus considering most of us don't really enjoy standing by the sink making our hands wrinkly every week. It's also worth motioning that even though the bristles are not from natural hair, they're really soft but dense enough to actually pick up and apply the product effortlessly.
The tool feels quite expensive and luxurious when I hold it, which is surprising considering the very affordable price. It usually retails for £9.99 but it's currently on offer for £7.99 so I would recommend checking it out soon if you're a brush hoarder like me - you won't be disappointed. This gem sits in my most used/loved section of the makeup area and it will stay there for a long time.
In case you're wondering what blush is photographed above, I reviewed it here.
What's your favourite brush? I'd love to know.
