LIP PRODUCTS YOU'LL CURRENTLY FIND IN MY BAG
I'm not going to lie, I was pretty proud of having only four lip products in my handbag lately (excluding lip balm since I'll be doing an in-depth post on it soon) so I decided it would be nice to share them with you before I switch them up again - or add too many and end up looking like a hoarder.
During summer I like to have a mix of brights and neutrals but most importantly products that were easy to re-apply on the go if needs be. I usually rush from home to get wherever I have to go because I tend to enjoy my breakfast time a little too much, losing control of time. That leads me to leaving with a mostly complete face of makeup, except for the lips which I do last.
My go to nude lately was Honey Beige by the Buffs collection from Maybelline that has a tinge of brown to it. Perfect for girls who like a darker alternative to the classic nude lip. It's amazing applied over Stripdown lipliner by Mac which was actually a recent purchase of mine. It's creamy but it does not cause bleeding on the edges, which is always a plus since not many want to carry a lipliner as well to completely re-work the look.
The easiest number to apply, especially at work, has been Sedona Sands by Burt's Bees, which is a sheer to build-able formula that reminds of the lip butters by Revlon. Surprisingly enough I don't really hear many bloggers rave about these crayons, even after reviewing them on here a while back, but I would definitely recommend you check them out. I have been using mine all summer and there's still loads left, definitely worth the purchase. You can also get away with it when you have more dry lips.
Speaking of dry lips, when I look for the pop of colour I usually choose the one and only Joan Collins. I can't really tell if I love the packaging more or the product but there is a certain satisfaction sporting such a luxe looking bullet in your purse. Every time I take it out I get asked the same questions: "What lipstick is that?" and "What shade is that?"- which is always a good sign . This particular lipstick (Marilyn) is a very wearable warm pink which stands out especially with a tan and glides on easily even if your lips are not the softest.
If I'm out all day and I need a longer lasting something that has a velvet smooth finish I always go back to Bagsy as a brand since I can't stop raving about them ever since my recent discovery of their liquid lipsticks. Handy to carry in your purse, great packaging, amazing finish and the shade Spinning Plates is literally perfection.
Swatches of all these products are on the blog, you can use the search tool to find them if you're interested.
Now that Autumn is at the door I shall be switching up my lip products again and next time I do this post you'll definitely see darker colours appear. I'm so excited for the new season!
If you lot enjoy my posts, I would be super grateful if you nominated me in this year's Cosmo Blog Awards in the "Best in Beauty" category. It takes two seconds to just put my link here, it would mean the world to me.
