So nail polish and I have a love-hate relationship. I love to wear it but it weakens my nails a lot (this product seems to help though) and also due to my left hand being completely unskilled I end up having a great mani on one side and an absolute disaster on the other. (can anyone relate?)
The thing is - I love autumn and I love wearing dark shades - purples especially- this time of the year, so I couldn't refuse taking my faves out and showing you what I'll be rocking these next few months.
From the left:
NYC - CANAL STREET: This shade I'll be taking with me all the way to winter and after Christmas. It's a gorgeous burgundy/brownish with some shimmer in there which adds dimension to it. It's thick so one coat works pretty well with me.
ORLY - ROSE CHOCOLATE: The perfect transition shade from summer to fall - not too bright but not dramatically dark for people who may not be massive fans of super "goth" colours. I absolutely LOVE the quality of ORLY nail polish and out of all it probably has the best brush to apply the product with.
SALLY HENSEN - RED-Y RESPONSE: Like I mentioned before, I love my purples and this one is a brighter version to wear now before halloween whilst still getting into winter. It's a little different from the bottle because the glittery parts you see don't actually transfer on your nails but the surface stays nice and glossy for a few days and it resists well. I love it.
MAYBELLINE - METAL ME TEAL: The unusual one of the bunch, a teal shade. I don't know why but since I tend to wear black, sometimes I need a dash of brightness whilst keeping the element of mystery. (that sounds so deep)
This teal colour is different from any other I have and it seems to change shade depending on the weather. Sometimes it's darker and sometimes it's lighter. I always get compliments when I wear it so it will definitely be a colour I reach for.
MAYBELLINE COLOUR SHOW - NOITE DE GAL: Probably my favourite. The deep purple with the perfect gloss, thickness and long lasting results. It has no shimmer particles and it looks absolutely badass on the nails. A definite must-have for the season.
So that's it, these are my current picks but after Halloween I'll be sure to make an updated post since I'll be transitioning onto reds and nudes. Let me know your favourites in the comments.
