MINIMAL AND CRUELTY-FREE MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE: AUTUMN EDITION
Every season I change up my beauty routine to suit my needs. Now that October is here, I like to update you all on what I've been using on my face to keep the blemishes at bay and combat my combination skin.
For the first time ever I am featuring Lush products. My best friend has been obsessed with this brand for the longest time and after years of pushing me to try something I decided to listen to her and purchase a few things. Honestly, I don't know why on earth I waited this long but now I totally get the hype with their products.
The cleanser of choice has been Angels on Bare Skin which is great for people who are super sensitive like me and get super red whenever using anything that can exfoliate. It contains ground almonds to get rid of dead skin, lavender oil to balance and rose absolute to restore everything.
I was a little worried it was going to be too harsh but when you mix water and a little bit of the product in your hand you get this soft texture that can be easily applied on the face. You can also use it as a mask if you mix less water in. I feel like this gem gets rid of all the extra product I apply at night, making my face soft and ready for the day ahead.
Since I do struggle with dry patches especially on my chin I like to refresh my face using a toner called Eau Roma which is amazing to calm down any redness and completely wake me up. It also has great hydrating properties that I do like to use as an extra base before applying anything else on top.
Sukin is my go-to brand for my current daily moisturiser. I love the fact that it absorbs quite quickly but it's a slightly thicker cream than my summer option I talked to you about a while ago. With ingredients such as jojoba oil, avocado and rose hip you know it's high quality but also completely natural and cruelty free, making it perfect for any skin type. It smells really fresh and clean and it works extremely well on both my oily t-zone and my dry cheeks, balancing everything out.
A night time routine will be featured soon but in the meantime I'd love to know what you guys have been using on your face now that the colder months are here.
A big THANK YOU to anyone who nominated me in the Cosmo Blog Awards this year. In case you didn't know, I've been shortlisted! Please vote for Creepers and Cupcakes here, it takes 10 seconds and every vote counts.
XOXO

I have yet to try anything from Lush!! Sounds like I need to get to it and grab a few things!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try any of these, I have tried a seaweed cleanser from lush but it expired before I could go through it.
ReplyDeleteI am using The Body Shop Pomegranate cleanser, Biofficina Toscana purifying serum and La Roche Posay Effaclar Mat moisturizer in the morning. My skin has gotten so oily with the change of season, I abandoned my "glowing" moisturizers for anything that will keep me matte!
loved the post
I've been needing a new moisturizer, I will definitely look into this one more. I'm more oily than dry, So I worry about the cream being too heavy. Thanks for the honest review!

I've passed the Lush stores many times and even walked in just once but exited more quickly than had the time to browse around and try their body and skincare products. That's because my nose couldn't stop sneezing that particular day I walked in. I think the scent is just too strong.
ReplyDeleteThank you for introducing these products to us.
haha yeah the smell in their shop is overwhelming sometimes!
