Essentials for Effortless and Voluminous Looking Hair

Through the years I have been known to put the least amount of effort when it comes to hair-styling in my group of gal-pals. I don't spend more than five minutes on my mane because I'm just not that fussy with it. If I can spare more time to sleep or do my makeup or choose what shoes go with my outfit then I'm happy to cut down on hairstyling.

Now, after admitting my sins, it's worth noting that I do try and leave the house looking put together whilst also being effortless so these products are what helps me maintain said look.

Bouffe Dry Spray - I would call this my all-in-one kind of gem. It makes my hair look thicker, extra textured and voluminous. It comes in different shades that blend with your colour and help cover roots where needed. I use this on my lazy days when I am either running late or I just can't be bothered with anything. It makes my hair look styled, as if I've done something to it. It's a subtle change but people notice it.

Fudge Urban Sea Salt Spray - I discovered this brand last year and I now own a fair few of their products. This is the best sea salt spray I have tried so far. I don't like when my hair feel crispy and dry, but this number here just adds a subtle texture that you can emphasise with a wand if you feel like going the extra mile.  It doesn't add that usual dry look that screams "I have used a sea salt spray" which is why I love it. It doesn't have an extra strong hold especially if you have long hair so you may want to use hairspray to save your work. I tend to use this without any help though, especially when I get a short cut because the hair is lighter so the texture is visible and resistant for longer. This is something I always take with me on summer vacations or whenever I hit the beach because it really adds that 'something' to your look.

Fudge Urban Powder Styler - This is my go-to product for volume. It never fails me so I mainly use it on big occasions like parties, nights out, dates and so on. It's very fine and white but it blends into your hair leaving no trace! I use a tiny amount and massage into my scalp, usually working it on multiple sections around the head to make sure it's even. It is medium hold but if you're only going out for a few hours it's more than enough to keep you looking like a Victoria Secret bombshell!

I'd love to know what products you used to add texture and volume every day. Let me know in the comments or tweet me - @krisevilcupcake .

  7. Dry shampoo is such a staple in my routine (especially considering how lazy I am with washing my hair - oops!). I'll definitely have to test some of these products for myself soon.

  10. Okay so when I was brunette I didn't use to like sea salt sprays because my hair was very thick and sleek so basically it just made it look dirty. But now that I dyed it lilac it could work and you've just reminded me of that! So thank youu haha x
