I have a little confession to make - this is my first palette by Too Faced. I've been a fan of the Urban Decay Naked range for years - and that took me a while to collect and complete because of the price. When the original Chocolate palette came out, I didn't think I needed it that much so I stayed clear, despite all the rave and the amazing photos I saw around. Well, I gave in the other week because who can say 'no' to a palette that actually smells of chocolate?! Madness.
I picked one up for myself and one to give away to one of my awesome readers as a thank you for all the support throughout these 2 years that I have been a blogger. To find out how to win, scroll at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions but if you're here to know if this little pink bomb is worth the hype then keep on reading!
Packaging: The Bon Bons palette is the third release of the Chocolate range by Too Faced. The exterior is pink with little hearts and honestly, many may think it's tacky. Personally, I don't mind it. As much as I like sleek and simple palettes, it's good to have some colour and fun in your collection too, so I quite liked the idea. With Valentines Day being right around the corner as well, this would make the perfect gift for the beauty lover. May I mention that the tin hard packaging is much more resistant and less prone to gathering dust or dirt which is a massive bonus in my books.
Price: $49 / £39
Eyeshadows: Think buttery, easy to blend, pigmented and wearable any day - those are the words I would use to describe this palette. I think that the quality of the 16 shadows is outstanding from top to bottom. The only shade that wasn't a 10/10 (but a 8/10 instead) is Cotton Candy, which I found to be better looking when applied with a wet brush. It's a gorgeous wash over the lid when applied dry though, if you like the very subtle look.
Personally my favourites are Almond Truffle, Cafe Au Lait, Malted and Earl Grey. The nice balance of matte and shimmer makes this a very versatile palette that you can take everywhere with you and that will suit all skin tones. Yes, the bright pink colour, Totally Fetch, is definitely out of my comfort zone but other than that, all the shades are extremely wearable by everyone. The way they're laid out as well makes them quite easy to mix and match, even for the most inexpert eyes.
Final Thoughts: A must have in beauty lover's collection. Too Faced are making the 'IT' palettes right now, in my opinion.
