In the past few years I made perfumes part of my everyday beauty routine. I love how they make me feel, they lift my mood and they represent me well. You can go from sweet girl next door to badass bitch with one little spritz and suddenly you're in your element.
Personally I'm not one of those people who uses a perfume exclusively at night or in the summer. Like I said before, I wear what I like and what fits my mood. Recently through, I've been gravitating towards the same three scents, every week, so I thought I would share them with you all.
This is my most recent purchase from the Boxing Day sales. I picked it up for only £15 despite the fact that it's one of the most iconic scents by Jimmy Choo, making it an absolute bargain. It's a sweet and feminine scent with something spicy added to the mix as well. The top notes are strawberry and tangerine. This is one I use most in the day, especially if I'm in a good mood and the sun is shining (a bit odd and very specific but I noticed that I wear it especially when I'm extremely happy). It's very light and not in your face at all making it perfect for most people.
JOAN COLLINS - I AM WOMAN
This scent has been a staple in my routine since September last year because it has quite a warm and spicy touch to it. Despite the fact that the top notes are very citrusy (orange, mandarin, lemon, bergamot), the base is something I sense even more. It has musk, sandalwood and vanilla that I find very soothing but powerful. I feel very mature and very much like a woman when I wear it. I rock this to university or work, whenever I need that push of energy and encouragement. I don't know why but I imagine someone like Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada wearing this every day.
VERSACE - CRYSTAL NOIR
This is an Eau De Toilette, which I usually don't purchase because they don't tend to last long on me. In this case though, I was pleasantly surprised because after trying it numerous times in store and seeing that the scent lasted a long time on my skin, I bought it. It's a different scent from the usual sweet or fruity ones because it is very feminine and seductive whilst bearing a pleasantly intense undertone. Sandalwood, cashmere, vanilla pod and heliotropine form the base notes that bring this pleasant heaviness that makes me feel quite unique. I'm yet to meet someone else who loves this perfume or has even heard of it.
A perfume that is currently on my wishlist is Givenchy Dahlia Divin that I tried the other day when out and about on a shopping trip. I'd love to know what you've been wearing recently!
