I'm a shoe hoarder, that's not news on this blog.
What I do struggle with though, is finding boots that are suitable for the current cold and wet weather, which has been depressing me lately. As much as I may love some of the fancier and 'prettier' pieces that I have in my closet, I also realised that I needed to find something practical, comfortable and easy to wear when nature was rebelling. I have to get up at half 5 and leave the flat by half six to get to my university classes on time and in the morning I really need something that will get me from point A to point B quickly without blisters or embarrassing injuries.
That became particularly obvious when last month I slipped and fell in the middle of town because of the rain - and my shoes not being weather-appropriate. After I ran home with a wet bum, this and other series of unfortunate events lead me to hunt down the perfect pair of black boots at an amazing price. I'm all about saving whenever I can.
On MandMDirect I scored these gorgeous black Deep Sea Wedge beauties that are, I kid you not, the most comfortable pair of boots I have worn in a long time. They were originally £159.99 (ouch!) but I managed to grab them for only £59.99 . That's A LOT less and it's usually the price I pay for a good pair of shoes I want to have for a long time. They're definitely a little more edgy but I can picture myself wearing them not only day to day but to festivals as well. Goodbye ugly old wellies!
The price is amazing and the quality is next level. You can't tell in the photos but I'm wearing DOUBLE socks because my feet are usually really cold. Despite that I was still comfortable as they're elastic in order to suit your needs. Basically I'm in love and if you're looking for some bargains, check out the site! I'm already planning another cheeky purchase from there soon, possibly some workout wear.
Let me know what you think of the boots!
