Bedside Beauty Essentials

I like to keep a few products on my bedside table so I can reach for them right before bed time. Most of the time, they're the products that I tend to skip when I'm really tired and I just want to crawl into bed and chill.

Through the years I developed this little routine of leaving a couple of things on the side just so I can remind myself to complete my night time routine with them before turning the light off. I'll be honest, I do still skip them from time to time when I'm just exhausted or too excited to watch something on tv -ahem THE WALKING DEAD- but overall I've been good.

On top of my list of priorities - the hands. They're so dry, and not long ago I ran out of (most) of my favourite hand creams (that you can read about here). The rest have been stolen from mum and friends after nights out. The latest one I've been trying is by Lanolips, a brand I'm not stranger to. I love their lip products as well as their Intense Hand Balm with Rose Oil . The one I'm quite impressed with at the moment is the Antibacterial Hand Balm which smells amazing, feels fresh and hydrates my hands nicely. I specifically use this in the evening though because it's considerably thicker compared to the Rose Oil option and it takes a little longer to be absorbed by the skin.

Next up is my under eye area which needs some hydration and love. I am STILL obsessed with this eye treatment by Estee Lauder that I reviewed in depth here. Only a couple of uses make such a difference and my skin looks more plumped with no fine lines peeking through at all. I do wear it in the morning as well but I had to hide it in my bedroom because my mum started "borrowing" mine and considering this is not a cheap product I had to keep it to my self. Sorry Ma.

I love to wear matte lipsticks and lip products in winter. That itself can present a challenge because let's face it, this cold weather causes cracks and lines to appear far more easily than usual. I had to find a product that would give me the opportunity to rock any colour on my lips without drying them and Prevasore did the job. The unique formula helps keep the lips soft and protect them from any cold sore. I literally had NO chapped lips this winter which is a miracle.

Last but not least, something that I do keep next to me all the time is the Neom Organics Perfect Night Sleep pillow spray. It's not really a beauty product but it helps me get the beauty sleep I need in order to start the day right. For the longest time I didn't buy into the whole 'pillow spray' trend that I saw around, but after many friends recommended me to try it, I can officially say that I've been converted now. I suffer from night anxiety a lot and now that I've been really stressed with uni work as well, I can find it really hard to just let go of the day and sleep. The calming formula combines nineteen sleep-inducing essential oils, including lavender, sweet basil and jasmine to relax the mind and prepare the body to literally pass out. No more counting sheep (yeah, I still do that sometimes..). I highly recommend people to try this out.

  2. My bedside beauty regime is pretty much non existent. I have cream and everything standing right there, but always forget. I love the sound of a pillow spray though.
