Bloggers Fashion Week | Brands Highlight

Through the past couple of years of being a blogger one of my favourite 'perks' has been attending amazing events, meeting new people and getting to know new brands. Every fashion-week season I also tend to go to 'Bloggers Fashion Week' (you may remember me blogging about the event last season here). It's actually loads of fun and the community is so accepting and friendly that it makes going to these experiences a little less scary for people like me who tend to be shy around strangers.

Anyway, this season, The Bloggers Hangout was kind enough to send me loads of goodies from brands that will be gifting at the event. Whether you're attending or not, you may find new companies to check out, and also I will be reviewing and featuring each sample separately once I properly test them all out.

BEAUTY

 Skincare.

Bravura is a brand I'm familiar with because of their amazing treatments for spots I've tested last year. Their products contain salicylic acid which doesn't only help fight acne but it also dramatically decreases the likelihood of zits re-appearing. I used some of their moisturisers and the ginseng toner that I highly recommend. Can't lie that I'm actually really excited to test the first cleanse oil and the glycolic acid

I'm totally unfamiliar with IOMA so when I opened up the package I immediately did some research to find out more about the products that were sent to me. I got the Expert Ritual Tabs which basically includes a small amount of a wide variety of treatments that the brand offers. It's like lots of samples ranging from the gel makeup remover to the moisture cream for day and night. Then the bigger sample is from their Energize range and is the new Vitality Shot Serum. The brand is on the pricy side but I prefer to spend more on my skin rather than makeup, so hopefully if the test-period revels IOMA to be a win I'll be excited to try even more things from them. I shall report back!

Another brand I'm completely new to is Pure Potions. What I liked about them straight away is the fact that their products are made with ingredients that are as close to their natural state as possible so no highly processed substances. I have sensitive skin and knowing that anyone can use their products, babies too,  gives me hope these samples will work well with me. Of course I will keep you informed and as mentioned earlier, I will test and review everything on here.

Since I'm a basic beauty blogger you can already imagine how obsessed I am with candles. I mean, who doesn't like a nice scent in their home?! Despite being new to Kenneth Turner, I could already tell that their fragranced candles were right up my street. Little fact - they're made with natural floral oils and even the smaller tea lights are so potent that they manage to make my whole flat smell divine. The brand offers room colognes, diffusers, shower gels, hand creams and more which excites me since they'll be perfect for upcoming birthdays.

Tools.

LAB2 is not a new brand on my blog. In fact, last summer I raved about their blush brush which is still my favourite tool to apply products on my cheeks. I stopped using brushes to apply foundations quite a while ago and instead I've been extremely loyal to the Real Techniques sponge. I'm very intrigued to test out this other sponge though just to change things a bit. It may even be a dupe of the original beauty blender? We'll see. I shall keep you posted.

Makeup.

MeMeMe Cosmetics is a brand I've been using for the past couple of years. I did a little brand focus post a while back (here), and I enjoyed loads of their products. I got really excited to try  more things from them, especially the liquid highlighter since the shade reminds me of Champagne Pop by Becca Cosmetics, just not in powder form. The palette has some gorgeous neutral shades, mostly shimmers and they're very wearable not to mention perfect for spring. Keep your eyes peeled for a more in-depth review coming soon.

Hair care.

You guys know I love Paul Mitchell. I recently raved about one of their shampoos (here) if you remember. Not only do I respect the brand for not testing on animals but the quality of their products is outstanding. I'm yet to find something that didn't impress me. I honestly jumped up and down when I opened up this package filled with goodies. I'm particularly excited to try their extra-body daily shampoo and rinse. I recently re-cut my hair into a bob so I'm all about the extra texture and volume.

NAILS.

I've been loving nails lately so I got extremely excited when I spotted these wraps in the mail. I had to apply a set ASAP. The brand is called Thumbs Up and each pack costs £7.99 but they also come in sets of two or three designs for a little more. There's a huge variety of designs so you'll definitely find something you like. This week I've been feeling the blue and white vibes because of the cold so I chose the pack from their vintage collection

Now something that made me instantly think "awesome" is this ingenious kit by Sensational Nail which transforms your ordinary nail polish into a quick dry, high shine nail polish. I have accumulated a good collection of varnishes with time but it still annoys me when they chip after 4 days. I have high hopes for this - and it only costs £35.

FASHION

As soon as I opened this package I got excited straight away. Lily & Carter nailed it in terms of style because this would be something I wear on a night out. The back open satin cami and the panel trousers with a wide leg are both on sale at the moment for £27 each which is a bargain! They're very easy to wear with different pieces in my wardrobe and the items don't only feel good quality but they look expensive too.

A dress that is a little more out there for me is this little number called Debbie by Jones + Jones. All their garments are handmade in London and the designs vary a lot so you'll find more classy dresses for weddings or more loud dresses with lots of sparkle and colour for parties. There's something for everyone but I would imagine very girly girls will like this brand. I paired my dress with my old Jeffree Campbell spiky boots and I can't wait to wear this outfit on a disco night with friends.

FITNESS

Something I could test straight away after or before my workouts has been these two protein drinks. The little ones are by Collagen +Beauty Milk which are enriched with potent antioxidants, hunger-fighting proteins and essential vitamins. I loved the light strawberry taste and they were perfect to pack and take anywhere due to the small size. However I am a crazy chocolate lover so the U FIT shake has been my go-to on days when I stayed home, worked and then worked out. It contains lots of vitamins and minerals, no added sugars and it's deigned to support the demand of an active lifestyle. If I don't exercise at home, I tend to walk at least 10.000 steps a day to burn the calories and keep myself healthy. Both get a thumbs up from me.

So I hope you found some new brands that interest you and a huge thank you to The Bloggers Hangout for hooking me up with so many goodies! The post man was literally shocked by all the mail in the past week. Oops.
Who's attending the BLFW event?

xoxo
