Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer: worth the price?

Primers are such a vital thing in my everyday makeup routine that I literally have it as my mission in life to find the best ones. As someone who has combination skin with pores, bumps, and excess oils around my T-zone, it's essential for me to use something to manage all of these issues and make my base look as flawless as possible.

Recently I've seen so many bloggers try the Dermalogica Hydrablur primer and since the reviews were all amazing and the brand is well known for producing great skincare products, how could I miss out? With a £38 price tag it's definitely the priciest primer I have tried in a while, so not budget friendly, however I have been using it for over 2 months and I swear the packaging still looks full. This bring me to my first point - you need a tiny amount to cover all the areas. The formula looks thick when on your fingers, but once you blend it on your face it's very lightweight and it instantly perfects your skin.

Some of the benefits include skin hydration, an overall smoothing effect, long-lasting makeup wear and light coverage. What I've been doing as well is applying the primer with a sponge ON TOP of my foundation, just lightly dabbing it, to create an even bigger blurring effect. My skin looked pore-less, it's amazing. Of course this is more of a trick to use on important events when you want your face to look smooth and soft.

I have to say I love this product and despite it being expensive I do believe it's worth the money. I would definitely put it in my top 3 primers I've tried so far.
Let me know if you gave this a go and your thoughts on it!

XOXO

  3. I never use primer after giving up on the search to find one that would actually make a difference. £38 seems a bit steep for a primer but if it works then I'd happily pay the price for it.

  4. I've only ever tried a few primers and although this sounds great the price would be way to much to buy for me. You should do a comparison on a cheaper one and weigh out if the cost makes it THAT much better x
