Perfume Diaries | Monsoon Rose Gold

So I've been slightly addicted to perfumes lately. I go through stages where I really need new fragrances in my life. Maybe need is a strong word but I definitely like adding them to my stash. It's kind of refreshing to change things up, spraying literally a little boost of confidence on myself every day. I'm not very fussy in terms of brands, I actually love using cheaper perfumes as well because I find them to be just as good as some of the more pricy options.

Monsoon  released their Rose Gold * perfume and I was lucky enough to have it sent to me to test out and report back to you guys. I'll be honest, I never really thought of checking out this brand for fragrances before nor did I see much hype about it online so this was a nice surprise for me. The first thing I loved about it was of course, the packaging. Sleek, simple and *roll of drums*, rose gold which ticks all the boxes.

If I had to find a few words to describe this perfume to you, I'd use modern, feminine and glamourous. Top notes of sparkling lemon, fruit and ozonic scent are layered with velvety rose, tuberose, neroli and cyclamen, all underpinned with base notes of vanilla, mosses, musk and woods. I'd say this is a fragrance that even non-sweet lovers may try as it's not sickly.

It's quite long lasting and 'heavy' in the sense that people around you will smell it when you walk by. I find it to be perfect for this upcoming warm weather since it's a perfume that most people would wear in spring and summer. You can get the 100ml bottle for £35 which is reasonable considering the quality and longevity of the scent.

I'm loving this perfume at the moment because it's getting me really excited for the summer holidays that I will get to enjoy once I submit all my university assignments. Eeeeee! Let me know in the comments if there's any other scent you've been enjoying recently.

  1. I feel your pain, I'm the same with a good fragrance! I currently have about 40 full sized bottles in my collection, and that doesn't include rollerballs, solid perfumes or sample vials!

I've never heard of this brand before but I really need to check it out as it sounds like it's right up my alley! I'll need to hunt it down in Australia.

PS - I love your photos, they're gorgeous!

  3. I was already sold when I saw the bottle haha! It's so pretty. I'm also a perfume hoarder but I'm currently trying to control myself, I can't let myself buy any more perfumes. It will probably take me a good few years to go through the all the bottles of perfume I already own.

  8. I totally agree I think some of the cheaper perfumes tend to blow higher end fragrances out the water. I'll definitely have to give this a spritz next time I'm near a Monsoon.
