Sun's out which means it's time to shave properly and let those legs make an appearance without any thick socks or jeans covering them up! After months of being wrapped in layers sipping hot chocolate, we can finally change things up, dress lighter and drink all the iced coffees on our way to work. England has been so warm this past weekend that I finally left home without a jacket. *gasp*
I see mid-spring as the time of the year to get back into a full body-care routine and finally put a little more effort in looking glowing and sun kissed. For the past few weeks I've been trying a few new products that I decided to combine in order to create a proper routine. Wanna know what they are? Keep reading.
The Aloe Sunscreen spray* by Forever Living is of course the first product I had to mention as it's so important to protect your skin against the ageing and damaging effects of the sun. I prefer sprays to creams as I find them quicker to apply, less messy and overall lighter in consistency. This gem is also waterproof so if you're heading on holiday somewhere I would highly recommend you to pick it up.
Scrubs come back into my routine in the spring as I feel like I need new skin for a new season - which sounds a little gross but it's true. The Radiance Body Scrub by Urban Veda is my favourite as it's tough enough to exfoliate and buff away dead skin cells, but gentle and moisturising overall thanks to the natural berry ingredients in it.
Now, onto a topic I will discuss more in the future - cellulite. Unfortunately I'm part of the 80% of women who suffers from it and I will forever be in the quest of getting rid of it. Lately I've been using the Nivea Good-Bye cellulite serum. Now, we all know there is no real miracle cure but I have noticed a nice improvement when I added this to my healthier lifestyle so it is definitely worth a mention.
Onto the more fun stuff, these are two products that have definitely helped me boost my confidence.
The Sanctuary Spa Wonder Body is literally a magical product. It gives you the most beautiful glow whilst also hydrating your skin and blurring any imperfections. I also noticed how it evened out my skin tone on areas where it looked a little patchy. It's basically a tinted moisturiser for your body that will make you feel like a Victoria's Secret model.
Last but certainly NOT least is one of the newest things I've tried (and now totally finished so I need a new bottle ASAP) - it's the Nkd Skn Pre-Shower gradual tan lotion. It takes 10 minutes - you apply, wait, then shower and you'll notice a natural golden bronze glow become more evident as the day goes. It is build-able so you could go darker but I applied one layer and that was enough to make me look like a beach babe without the awful orange tones. I love this!
