I arrived in trainers at the event and changed into heels after as let's face it - travelling in heels just isn't comfortable. I wore this outfit that I blogged about (yep, as promised) and for once I didn't drink too many glasses of wine as I had work the next day. *cries*
I got to say hello to quite a few of the bloggers that I follow on twitter and that I regularly stalk (you all looked gorgeous) but I'm not the greatest at full on interaction with people I technically haven't met before so I apologise if the conversations were short and sweet but next time I will be less shy! The venue was packed with ladies wearing the nicest dresses and skirts (and shoes!), it was like attending a little fashion show. Scarlett herself was wearing this killer jumpsuit by one of the brands that were showcasing at the event called Jody Bell and she looked bomb!
One of the most exciting parts of blogger events is finding new brands I never heard of before. We all know of Estee Lauder and Rimmel but it's nice to be introduced to other companies and seeing their team really eager to get us involved. There were numerous competitions to win vouchers and products that usually involved snapping and sharing on social media. I will admit I am not the best at entering those competitions as usually I'm holding a camera in one hand, bags in another and balancing a drink in whichever way possible but I occasionally like to test my luck and see if I'll win something. There was a cool competition that involved us guessing how many lip products were in a big bag, and the closest number to the actual one would have won. I took a photo of the bag, I'd love to know what number you would have said. Mine was 250 I think.
As I'm a beauty and fashion blogger, you can guess what kind of brand categories interest me the most. At this event I finally got to see bonprix in person. They contacted me a few days ago and if everything goes to plan we should be collaborating soon so keep your eyes peeled for a nice outfit. As I never saw the brand in a store it was good to feel the clothes and now I'm even more excited to style a couple of their pieces. In terms of jewellery, of course The Jewellery Box was there and you guys know I love their pieces so much. I was so excited to see their stand, as their displays are always very pretty. Staying in the topic of accessories, another brand I loved was Boho Betty who gave me major Coachella and summer vibes. I can imagine Vanessa Hudgens wearing their bracelets for some reason.
I finally got to get my nails done at the very friendly Just Beauty counter, which used BlueSky gel polish that should last two weeks. You may have seen a little sneak peek of the final result on my snapchat (whatkrisdid).
A particularly friendly brand was Seed and Bean that made me try different types of their delicious British chocolate. They definitely got a new fan here. They stood out to me the most because as someone who doesn't blog about food but who loves chocolate, it was interesting to find out about a new company.
The event lasted two and a half hours that to me went by too quickly as I could have stayed in there the whole afternoon.
Here's some photos from the day.

How many lip products do you think are in here?
I would love to know if you were there and what stands out to you the most. A massive thank you to Scarlett for being an amazing host as always and I look forward to attending the Bloggers Festival in a few months.
