Despite things being a little quiet around here lately, I couldn't miss the opportunity to unbox this month's Cohorted beauty box. You may have seen a little sneak peek over on my Snapchat the other day, but I do love touching briefly on every product and letting you know my first impressions.
It's just March but I've already had the pleasure to test some new brands this year and once again with this box, I have discovered some pretty amazing gems. Let's take a look!
Look at this stunner. Can you have enough neutral palettes in your collection? Umm.. no! It reminds me a little of the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette with the rose gold tones but I like the addition of the earth colours as well. The pigmentation is great, the shadows are silky to the touch, very finely milled, they remind me of KVD Shade & Light by the way they perform. Personally I wouldn't use the brush the palette comes with as I have far better ones but that's up to you. All in all, I love it and I need to find out more about Pur Mineral Cosmetics. This is their Secret Crush palette but after having a little browse online, I have spotted a few other products I'm dying to test out.
These lash curelrs came out of their packaging straight away when I spotted them as I have been meaning to get a pair for the last six months! They're from a brand called Vintage Cosmetics and they work really well, curling the lashes nicely and helping open up the eyes.
They've landed in my makeup bag straight away and they're going to remain there from now on!
This is just a little sample of the Lancome Absolute Yeux eye cream but thought I'd mention it anyway as I find samples to be pretty damn useful since you get a chance to try something new. I'm actually running out of my current eye cream and this one had some pretty decent reviews online so the couple of times I have used it I noticed my area looking more..'rejuvenated' although you have to keep in mind I'm only 23 so if you're older and looking for an anti-ageing review I can't give you that.
I look forward to using it more and maybe purchase the full sample.
Living Proof I'm familiar with now, thanks to Cohorted actually, so I am happy to see another product from them. I already had the chance to test this one out, it's a styling treatment and you apply it on clean, damp hair. After brushing it and blow drying it, you pick what sort of style you want to emphasize, so for me lately has been silky smooth polished hair, inspired by Kim Kardashian. I use a flat brush and just make sure to slowly work my way from top to ends when drying it. I love this product for nights out and when you really want to look put together without needing to see the hairdresser.
Urban Decay is making another appearance this month and I can't deny how glad I am since I love this brand. Once again it's a product I haven't tried before but heard great things about it. The Naked Skin Beauty Balm is like a primer, with spf 20, which contains optical blurring pigments that even out the skin tone and create a smooth base for any foundation. I also noticed that it hydrates the skin as mine has been feeling quite dry lately, but it doesn't contribute to any extra greasiness. One of my favourite discoveries this month!
Have you tried any of the products above? The value of this box is over £70 and I'm really pleased with it! Can't wait to see what we get in the first official spring edition next month.
