Trend Talk: Paperbag Skirt

There are quite a few trends I'm keen to talk about on the blog but the one I've definitely fallen hard for is....paperbag everything! Trousers, skirts, jeans, shorts, I love it all. Why? Because it's a chic trend that dresses up any of your summer looks, and it can be so easily transitioned to a nighttime look too.

It's all about form and function: in order to create paper bag-like silhouettes, the wide fitted waistlines get tied up with accessories like belts and ribbons, creating some volume on top and on bottom of it, also accentuating your waist.

In my case though, this houndstooth skirt has an elasticated waist and the paperbag detail is more like a frill, quite minimal and chic. I like this design as you don't need a belt to complete the look and on top, you can wear anything from a cropped top, knit, bodysuit and more. I bought it from here, and they always have amazing deals on, often with 50% off most of the lines. Despite the cheaper price, the quality isn't bad at all!

The paper bag waist apparel style is extremely chic, comfortable and dominating fashion trends at the moment, mostly because the simple yet unique detailing adds a dramatic flair, spicing up an otherwise simple outfit.

I don't think we'll see this trend die any time soon so I'd like to know what everyone thinks of it!
