Winter Skincare: My Day and Night Moisturisers

Well, hello everyone and Happy New Year (a little late..)! Things have been busy so before I knew it, the end of the first month of 2019 has arrived! I hope the year has got off to a great start for everyone and I am certainly excited to keep blogging and sharing good ol' fashion and beauty bits whenever I get the chance.

I thought it's been a while since I have updated you on my skincare routine so in today's edit - I will share my current favourite moisturisers!

Winter has always had a rough effect on my skin and each year I do my best to research moisturisers, masks and anything in between that will help my face stay as soft and wrinkle-free as possible. I turned 25 a few months ago and I have realised that now more than ever it's vital to take good care of my skin so it can thank me later on in life (delaying the botox for as long as I can, thanks)
If I had to track down unicorn tears to guarantee the perfect base, I would do it - I'm that keen.

For the last couple of months I have been using two creams that have been fantastic in defending my face against the harsh weather, so having a blog, it would have been rude not to share these gems with you. I don't know why, but skincare posts are my favourite this time of year so I thought some of you may also find it useful.

So, what's been getting all my love?

Here we go:

For the Day...

Eucerin Aquaporin Active Moisturising Cream - One of the most used and loved brands in my family ; this moisturiser feels light, almost gel-based and it's the very best in relieving tightness and leaving the skin feeling supple and looking bright. Perfect for the morning rush when you're getting ready quickly as it gets absorbed fast and makes the perfect base for any foundation!

For the Evening...

Beauty Kitchen Abyssinian Oil Facial Moisture Cream * is the cream everyone needs if they want something that's soothing, and which helps repair, firm and de-congest - all thanks to the high levels of potent oils. I have combination skin that goes from a very greasy T-zone to the driest cheeks and I have noticed a significant improvement in my skin's balance now that I've been using this cream for a couple of months.

It's worth noting that these are new products in my stash however both brands have been in my bathroom cabinets throughout the years as they never fail to create amazing products tailored for all skincare needs.

I'd love to know what you have been using and on the next skincare post, I shall be revealing my current favourite face masks (the excitement is real) so, keep an eye out for a new post coming soon and leave your blog links below in the comments as I fancy a little browse. xo

  1. Ohh what some great sounding creams, I use a different cream from My Beauty Kitchen at night at the moment but I find I have to switch or my skin gets used to it so I think I might check out the Abyssinian one next!

  2. Lovely read, the cold can do all sorts of nasty damage to your skin and it's more than just chapped lips! Skin care is always important, afterall, it's the largest organ of your body! xx

  8. I love Eucerin too! We've been using their products on our youngest and also on me too. This time of year is hard work for dry skin!

  9. These are really lovely sounding creams. I've never used either of them if I'm being honest, but I'd most definitely give them a try :)
