Lately I have been really focusing my attention on skincare more than makeup because I realised how important it is to take care of your base as soon as possible before it's too late to fix it. My face has actually been the clearest these past couple of months and I could not be more pleased. I usually struggle with acne or horrendous pores however *touches wood* right now it's doing good.

This is obviously not down to only one product, in fact you'll see a few skincare gems featured on here these next few weeks that really do need a mention, however every little helped, making this the most successful month ever in terms of fighting skin imperfections.

One of the products I had to feature is something that helped me de-congest and really detox my face, especially now in the summer when it feels like the weather clogged my pores with all the impurities and the sweat. The subject in question is the Balance Me Congested Skin Serum which retails for £16 and receives all the thumbs up from me. It comes in this handy container with a pump (praise the Gods of makeup and beauty for that, pumps are the way forward) and smells like ... nature. I know that's the oddest way to describe something but it does. It's 99% natural and after a week you can already notice clearer skin and improved texture. It also helped keep my spots at bay, especially around the chin area and best of all- it doesn't dry out the skin. It's perfect for people like me who can be sensitive and it's also great at making dry patches disappear. It is definitely a skin saviour as advertised.

The way I apply this is right before the daily moisturiser I use. I tend to only wear it during the day since at night I already use an amazing (but heavy) moisturiser I talked about recently which works best on its own.

Have you heard of this brand before? Let me know if you used any other products from Balance Me as I'd love to try more from them. If not, what serums have you been enjoying recently?
